I got a bad surprise. I bought a Serpa Level 2 410503BK-R and it does not fit my Rock Island 1911A1. It fits my SIG, it fits my Para.
Question #1: Safety question. I was able to remove the lock detente (easy pie: pull out the plunger, the plastic detente and the spring metal piece fall off. Without the detente, the holster cover perfectly the trigger and the tension on the pistol holds it tight. Is it safe to use the holster that way? Hit me with your comments on that.
Question #2: Anyone can recommend me a holster level 2 that will fit the Rock Island and a 2" duty belt?
