i see threads about colt, kimber, para, s&w, Sig, sa(which i own one) and others but rarely do i see threads about rra 1911's. there ar's are every where but finding info on there 1911's are tough. anybody got one, any pics, thoughts, experiences. i know there ar's run how bout the 1911's.

thanks to all.

I just saw one on the the cover of one of the gun mags for the first time. I didn't even know they made 1911's. I think it was called the basic carry.

I have one. The Wadcutter version. They are very popular and well spoken of in the markmanship competition circles such as Bullseye.

Chuck Larsen (RRA) goes to Camp Perry and spends his days tweaking them for the competitors.

If you are thinking of getting one, and are on the fence, I would get one for sure.

I have owned three, still own one, and have one sitting at the FFL (tomorrow is a going to be a nice day!). All ran like sewing machines on liquid ball bearings. Tight and smoooooooothh.:)

I bought and sold a 5" Elite Commando. I needed the money for a pre-ban M1a. It was a great gun, and I still miss it:(

Bought and sold a 4.25 Elite Commando- Nice gun, but I just can't seem to get attached to commander sized guns.

Bought and kept (and will pass onto my kids if all goes as planned) a 5" Basic Limited Match. Awseome gun.

Picking up a 5" Basic Carry tomorrow. It was from the run on for ADCO a couple years back. I hope it's as nice as the EC I let go a couple years back.

45Badger, congrats, i look foward to hearing all about it, and seeing lots of pics. what a day it wil be! a new 1911 i am definetly happy for you!

I have only handled them, but they were very impressive as far as fit, finish, etc. Very nice. Definitely one to consider if you are looking in that price range.
