Looking at $309 local for the combo.

Last lower I put together myself for $240 years ago. Is the $309 a good price for the complete Rock River with 2 stage Match trigger assembly?

I am wanting to my White Oak Service Upper on this lower. I think it will make a great combo.

Can you please give me your opinion on the price?

wow. 21 views, and nobody has an opinion if $309 for a complete Rock River A2 lower with a 2 stage is a good price? come on.

sounds good to me. i see a lot of these going for 320 or 300 without the 2 stage trigger, which is one of the best upgrades you can make.

have you looked at ordering everything seperate vs complete?

I have. I haven't really been able to beat this price. Thought I would ask around here for a little more advice.
Last AR I put together cost $517.00. It was a really nice rifle. CMMG Lower, DPMS lower parts kit with some trigger and spring work, Used A2 stock and tube, with a HBAR 1:9 twist Colt post ban A3 upper.

I loved the gun. Shot awesome. Just had issues with bullets in the upper range. Decided to sell it outright, and go with a new setup. Which led me to White Oak for the Service Upper, and really leaning towards the RRA A2 lower with 2 stage trigger for shooting High Power.

I like the fact that the upper will have a 3/8 with quarter minute clicks. Rear sights will be pinned, and the front is adjustable for windage also. Should be a great rifle. Something about a simple service rifle that gets me going. Drop it, use it as a boat paddle, hammer, dig a hole with it, and it will still shoot true. Try that with your varmint rifle. Don't think it will make it.
I also don't like a bunch of mess hanging off my rifle. Give me a 20" barrel and an A2 stock. It is all subject to opinion. I am just jacked about getting this rifle. I know it will shoot the 69 and 77 SMKs great. I bet it shoots the 68 and 75 HPBT and/or 75 A-Max single loaded really well also.

You can bet that I will be taking some coyote with this using the A2 sights as well. Well just had to talk about it. Getting ready for the purchase.

i think you will be happy with that purchase. saw two yotes this morning on the way out the door to work. happy hunting

Been several years since I priced them, but sounds good to me and were I building an AR, I'd buy it. Agree with others here on the RR two-stage trigger. It's a good one.

Considering that a good Spikes, or a blemished BCM, complete lower will run you $250, and then you would have to change out the stock and the trigger for what you want, I say yes, that is a pretty good deal. Nothing wrong with RRA.

I have that excact same lower on one of my AR's and really love it. $309 is a very good price. I paid $325 OTD for mine 6 months ago.

$309 is not bad but you can do better. Aero Precision forged 7075 lowers are $75, LPK's less trigger are $50, RRA two stage can be found for $70-80. Add the butt of your choice.

Yeah. I might come out ahead around $15 after shipping. Plus the time saved with it being assembled is a plus.

I think I think I am going to buy it.

Plus you got a warranty with one manufacturer that way... one manufacturer can't blame a problem on another's parts if there were to be an issue.

Tits Up.

RRA puts out a lot of rifles each year. Last year on record with ATF (2008) was over 28,000 rifles. Almost all of their guns come with the 2-stage trigger. Plus they sell many more in the form of trigger sets. Most of the few failures I have read about were due to use with incompatible .22 LR coversion kits. There have also been instances of loss of 1st stage, but that doesn't tie up the gun. And RRA will replace the trigger if there are problems.

Personally I like RRA 2-stage triggers a lot. I have owned at least a dozen and every one worked great... clean and light. Great trigger for the money IMO. Sure I keep milspec triggers in my two SHTF guns, but for goodness sake, not every gun one owns and shoots for recreation has to be set up for SHTF use.

The reason being the 2 stage for High Power is great from my experience. I had to borrow a rifle once to shoot. It had a 2 stage in it, and it was like 2 1/2# first section, and broke at like 1 1/2#. Made for some great accurate shooting.
My old AR15 I spoke of had a DPMS trigger. Lots of creep, and about a 8# break. It was reliable, but if there are better for HP shooting let me know please. I shot a lot of HP, but it was with a single stage trigger. Thought I'd go for something different.

AR Gold look cool. I have read much, but do they have a Nation Match trigger that is legal for High Power? That is what this rifle is going to be used for. I think the RRA trigger will get me by for now. I am stretching my budget as is with the WOA upper. I know it will be worth it though, and I still have a lot of load development to do when I get the rifle put together. So there is a lot of extra cost. We'll see.
