I recently got this Rock River carbine together. It's based on a RRA 16" stainless 1:8" twist upper, with a mid-length gas system and handguards I had a local gunsmith turn down the barrel profile (from about 0.9" under the handguards to around 0.75") to reduce weight. He also bead-blasted the finish.

Rear BUIS is the ARMS #40-A2. Optic is the Aimpoint M2 on a Knights cantilever mount. Trigger group is a JP single-stage 4#. Stock is a Magpul M93A. Lower is a pre-ban Eagle Arms from the late 1980's.

No, it's an old Eagle Arms lower from the 80's. We'll only have to play "musical lowers" for a few more days.

I'll eventually add some sort of 3 point sling. I have a couple from CQBsolutions for other rifles.

Nice lookin' rifle! Just a good, basic carbine.

I love the balance of the midlength over the CAR/M4 with a 16" barrel. It's nice to have that longer handguard and gas tube as well.

I want one that is very similar to yours.

I want an Ace skeleton stock and I can't deside on a fixed front sight or a folder. I will probably go with a fixed front sight and a flattop for now.
