Any opinions on these? I'm looking to pick up a couple thousand plinking bullets that aren't crap at 100 yards. Not really needing sub MOA as I have other bullets for that, but I don't want targets looking like I just hit it with a 12 gauge either if you know what I mean. Can't really argue with their price at $82 per 1000, but they don't have any reviews on their website for them and also mention they're a "new design."

So, anyone shooting these new bullets yet and have a review on them?

I have not loaded their .224" bullets yet but have loaded several other bullets from them and all were good. The owner is a member here at THR and a good man to deal with.

I too highly recommend RMR. Haven't tried their 55 FMJ's but being a Hornady 55 FMJ fan you can get 1000 of them for $90-$95. Hornady's 55 FMJ bullets are the most popular 55 FMJ and give good accuracy. I've seen the close up pics of the RMR 55 FMJ's and they do look nice and uniform.

I had decent results with them for plinking bullets.
Also picked up some of the pulled Federal Fusions from RMR. They shot really well and are a bonded bullet, on of the better hunting bullets you can get for .223.
A bit on the expensive side for plinking but can do double duty as a hunting or SD bullet. (still a great deal IMO)

Snuffy did an expansion test for me and posted here. Will try to round up the link.

If you order from RMR don't forget to use the 5% THR discount code. (in the start oif BDSs PIF thread here) Put the code in and your THR username in the comment box.

I also had decent results with the Etreme 55gr for plinking.

I have loaded a few thousand with good results and plan on buying more. They are reasonably priced and from a good company to deal with.....not much of downside to them.

Thanks for the replies guys, going to order up a couple thousand of these tonight and see how they perform. I've ordered thousands of their 124gr 9mm bullets in the past and agree with everyone here that they are a great company to deal with.

Didn't know about THR discount so that's good to know!!

Just saw this. Finally had a moment to do my usual rounds since shot show.

So, part of what we announced at shot show is that we will be bringing the 55 grain FMJ production in house within the next few months. I personally do not feel that the current supplier of our 55 grain FMJ is of "high" quality. Are they junk? Certainly not. But they don't really meet my standards for high quality.

I don't feel you would be terribly disappointed by the bullets we currently have in stock, but I do feel that we can improve upon the consistency from lot to lot. The one thing I can guarantee is that our service should be second to none and our interaction with you after the sale if you have problems will be top notch.

Sounds like I should wait until you bring the 55 grain FMJ production in house. Or just buy a small quantity until then.

I've been ordering from them for a little while now and their service is outstanding. Good prices, prompt shipping and questions I e-mail them are answered promptly regardless of the time of day. They're my go-to supplier for bullets and brass.
