I had always assumed the Roni was kind of gimmicy until I had a chance to handle one (a Gen 1 9mm) and I purchased a Gen 2 .45/10mm. I submitted a stamp for a Gen III large frame Glock and ordered a custom threaded 9" barrel from Lone Wolf today along with a custom 5.2" threaded .40 conversion barrel (I already have a 5.2" threaded .45 barrel), the last two for use with a suppressor.
From what the dealer told me is there were some wear issues with the Gen 1 with full auto 10mm fire so they made the Gen 2 stronger and added two captive metal threaded pins in addition to the 2 latch pins. The design is very sturdy and they use metal where needed (like the collapsible stock which is rigid).
The balance and handiness is what really impressed me the most. This is going to be a fun little gun.
