My first experience with Rooster Jacket liquid bullet lube has turned out mostly favorable. This product is a thick liquid that can be applied by dipping or pouring, and allowed to dry. When dry, the thick sections in grooves and corners appear similar to a medium hard wax, that can be chipped off with a thumbnail. I first sized the 452460 .45 cal. semiwadcutters to .452" in an RCBS sizer without adding any conventional lube. Then the bullets were dipped into a small container of the liquid lube and dried overnight. Loading was entirely conventional. Firing 85 rounds showed probably less smoke than with regular alox beeswax bullet lube. The breechface showed much less buildup of deposits than with regular lube. While not totally clean, this is an improvement. The barrel shows a little more deposit than usual, but it brushes out leaving just minor leading in front of the chamber, comparable to regular lube. Available from Midway, when shipping is included a pint of this stuff will cost you about US$25. I plan to use this bottle up, and will decide later whether to buy it again.

Rooster lube. Available at midway. be carefull from what i understand that lube is good for low velocity bullets. that is if you got the white bottle one.

They both work well. I have used them both. I could not really tell a difference. I still have a partial bottle of Rooster Jacket around here somewhere.
