I've liked the idea of a "medium heavy" .45 Colt in a lightweight rifle for a while. I had a Trapper, but sold it to Byron. :banghead:

Anyway, I may have found some Rossi .45/.410 rifles for a great price. I was thinking of setting a nice lightweight short-range deer rifle, with a low power compact scope and using GA Arms 260-grain JHPs.

Does anyone here have any experience with these little Rossis? I've been thinking about getting one for a couple of years, and I should be able to get one, completely set up with a Simmons scope, for a little over $200.

Thanks,

John

I am going to assume you are talking about the Rossi break action rifles.

I love mine, I couldn't love it more. Mine has a muzzle loader and 20 gauge barrels for it, the muzzleloader is one of the top three most accurate rifles I own, very easy to load and very easy to clean. Just to tell you how much I like them I have a three barrel combo on order right now. In my opinion they are one of the best values in firearms today.
