Thats good to know about the rossi. I have wanted a 357 lever for years .I saw a 24" 92 octagon bbl on gun broker .thanx for the info all.

I don't have a Rossi or a .357 lever.

IF I find one at reasonable prices, I will have one, without hesitation.

Tons of FUN

During the Obama era, when 22LR ammo was hard to find, I taught my daughters to plink with it.

3.0gr CLAYS and a 125gr LEE RNFP is a great bunnyfart load.

Max H110 & 2400 magnum loads are impressive from a 16" barrel

I had a late 1990’s model 20” .357 that had amazing wood, but that gun didn’t want to feed anything I fed it so it went away.

I currently have a 16” “safety model” R92 in .357 and in .45 Colt. Of the two the Colt is more fun to shoot but the .357 is probably more versatile. I did the Steves Gunz safety lever delete and swapped the OEM plastic magazine follower for Steves metal ones.

IMHO the Rossi M92 clone has a smoother action than the 1894 models do. I guess the longer stroke needed for the .38-55/.30-30 family of cartridges gives the 1894 a clunky feel thats not necessary for handgun-length rounds.

Stay safe.

I've noticed that intrest in these carbines, and the following difficulty in getting them, seems to coincide with heavy pushes towards AWB. Talks of and fears of banning the AR and other semi-auto rifles lately have driven prices through the roof and availability through the floor.

I don't think that will happen, but I have been wrong before.

A smart, thinking man would have one or two of these and a revolver or two in the same caliber stashed away for what may come.

How about three of them in the same caliber? Anyways, they're all too much fun to play with to ever think about stashing them away...at least for the time being!
