Yea, Steve's DVD is good for disassembly/assembly/modifications info and comes with the ejector spring and SS follower.

But I didn't use his ejector spring. I went with the full GUNSLINGER spring kit by Lee's Gunsmithing from Brownell's for $24.95 + shipping. That way I didn't have to cut any springs ('cept magazine spring) and saved the factory springs in case I ever sell the gun they will be available for the new owner.

Greyling22, AEA, thanks. Part ordered.
Yeah the price is a bit much .... OTOH the more I think of that safety the more I HATE it.
I have a .44 Magnum Browning B-92 without any stupid "safety" and it is a NICE gun. :D The Rossi/Taurus "Ranch Hand" is not as well made but it's still a nice gun ;)....even if it serves no real practical purpose ....but that safety....:banghead:

Does the ranch hand also have the key lock on the back of the hammer? Wish I could find a replacement hammer without that ugly, useless Lawyer Lock.

Yup, sure does. How many safeties does a gun need?
1.) Stupid safety on top rear of bolt.
2.) Stupid "lawyer lock";) safety on hammer.
3.) Half-cock notch on hammer.

Although to be fair #3 is authentic so the only real reason to include it is to increase the ... "round" count artificially.

I have a Rossi model 351 snubbie in .38SP that has the same hammer lock thingie ... my solution is to ignore it.
