rossi matched pair

I have single shot matched pair (12ga/.22mag) from rossi (braztec). I'd like to get a hunting rifle, but don't have much to put towards it. they have the matched pair with a .308, and i was wondering if it would fit the reciever and forend for the .22/12ga I've got. If i can simply order the new barrel, it's be amazing. all I should need is one shot anyway, right? anyone know if this would work?

I've seen 3 barrel match set with one of the barrels in 243.

It is not advisable to switch a barrel from one of these rifles to another. It might or might not fit properly. The barrels need to be fitted to the receiver. Since the H&Rs and the Rossis are very similar, you might want to take a look at these links:

The only single-shot rifle I am aware of that barrels can be switched without fitting is the Thompson-Center Encore rifles. This is the reason H&R has a new barrel program (and Rossi says they will have one).

Rossi's barrel program has been "coming soon" for about 5 years.

i had a 22mag/12ga combo, was a good shooter. i traded it for a Mossberg 500 after waiting for the barrel program for several years. id go with a NEF/H&R if you want additional barrels, or just buy another complete Rossi.

Kinda miss the Rossi though.
