Do any of you guys have any experience with Rossi shotguns and muzzleloaders? I just bought the 12 gauge rifled slug barrel and 50 cal muzzleloader pair. It cost $235 after tax and shipping. So far, I'm really impressed with the workmanship and quality of it. It even came with a carrying case for both barrels. I'm planning on putting red dot scopes on it for deer hunting. The 12 gauge barrel is even ported and both barrels have neon rifle sights on them.

I have a Youth Model .22/.410 I bought for my boys. We love it and it's a great shooter. My wife likes it as much as the boys. even though it's a youth size it is a nice handy rifle for me to.

I have a 12ga stagecoach gun my wife bought for me 30 years ago. Its been fired about a dozen times. Excellent gun.

i have a 12ga/22mag matched pair and love it. the only down side i can see is that they have no barrel program like NEF/H&R.

I also have the Rossi stagecoach in 20ga I bought in 1968 and put
about 100rds threw it and it still looks like new.

According to Rossis website, they have a barrel program in the works. I hope they will be reasonably priced. It says that you have to send in your receiver so they can match the barrel up.http://www.rossiusa.com/main/barrel-program.cfm
Wouldn't you have to send in to them through a dealer? I was skimming through the owners manual about warranty info and it said to mail the complete gun back to Rossi if you have a problem. I was under the impression that any shipment of a gun had to be from on ffl holder to another.

the best i can remember they have had a barrel probgram "in the works" for about 5 years. in that time their site has said the barrel program would be done by the end of each year.

I love, I mean LOVE my Rossi Muzzleloader, it is the most accurate firearm(in my hands) that I own. I could not be happier with it.

Earlier in the year I went looking for a single-shot rifle in 7.62x39.

The local shop had a Rossi with heavy barrel for $200.....so I handled it for awhile. I was really impressed. The fit was good....the finish was even but not very smooth, almost like some sort of parkerizing. The trigger was nice. What REALLY caught my eye was the AR-style safety on the left side of the receiver....I though it was well-done and well-placed.

In the end I opted to pass as the reports are the 7.62x39 rifles dont reliably ignite the primers on the cheapy Wolf ammo.

Instead I went with an NEF bull-barrel .223 rifle. Nicer finish, nicer stock......but it didnt have that safety that I liked so much.

I would have no problems buying a Rossi rifle if the need arised....
