The AES-10B is wholly made in Romania. It is an almost direct copy of the current issue RPK.

The US parts in it are trigger, hammer, disconnector, pistol grip and gas piston (and muzzle device, if it has one).

Chrome lined original Romanian barrel ( new ).

It was my understanding that the 10B's had stainless Green Mountain barrels, not chrome lined Romanian barrels due to the import ban.

The AES-10B barrel is chromed and is Romanian. The import ban you refer to affects parts kits, not "sporting rifles" (which the AES-10B theoretically is when it is imported as a single-stack rifle). Doncha just love these laws?

The Century Arms Yugo M72 has an American-made barrel (Green Mountain, I believe) and receiver (DCI) as it is built up from imported parts kits.

So the cheaper aes 10 has a chrome barrel.

m-72 has non chrome.... Is it stainless? "stainless Green Mountain barrels"

The M72 barrel is not, to my knowledge, stainless. Chrome is nice, but as long as you shoot noncorrosive ammo, it won't matter much - and especially at the 7.62x39mm's velocity and pressure level.
