It's generally a bad idea to 'bridge' the scope from the receiver to the forearm. It may not hold zero that way.

^^^Took the words right outta my mouth. :p

Just back it up and put on a set of BUIS's, and you're GTG!

Nice looking build, though! :)

I am not worried about it. I am not shooting prairie dogs at 300 yards. ;) If it proves to be a problem, I'll address it.

Hmmm............. some time later.....

Well, I thought about it some more. The problem was the battery holder getting in the way of the screws. That is why I went with two rings, and I could not mount it only on the upper and still leave room for a rear BUIS, so I did it "wrong" and figured what the heck, but ya'll got me to thinking.

I got to thinking about it and figured out if I tightened all the screws 90 plus % with the battery holder out of the way, then I could rotate it into position and finish tightening with only the three on one side. That way I could use just one ring and get it in the center of the Aimpoint, and leave room for a rear BUIS with the scope enough forward to use the stock shortened all the way if I want.

Is this better? Kind of long for one ring......well......when funds permit.......could be awhile. :)
