Just a question....

In the case, there's a sheet that came with my new Middy that says the barrel has been broken in by the factory. Should I believe this and just shoot the thing, or go through the long and laborious process of breaking in the barrel for this thing? (speaking of which, any preferred ways of doing that?) If it wasn't 2:15AM, I'd go downstairs and fetch the page itself to retype it exactly, I'll get to that tomorrow. But, the issue is---do I trust the company that the barrel's broken in (i mean, they guarantee 1MOA out of the thing), or should I waste time the one chance I'll get to shoot it before going back to college by "breaking it in"?

Chrome moly barrel, before anyone asks.

Break in? We don't need no stinkin' break in!

Break in on my CMMG AR was 400 rounds of Wolf and 500 rounds of UMC.

Nothing like the smell of freshly fried barrel in the morning.

Seriously, if it's a chrome barrel, get out there and start blazing away.

Well, the general consesus seems to be "just shoot it". I just didn't know if I should take any extra pains because it's a Chrome Moly (i.e. not chrome lined, not stainless) barrel.

EDIT: Just because I am not all that "up to date" on these things.....what is the significance of a "lapped" vs. "non-lapped" barrel?
