Rudy Says Gun Control Helped Reduce NYC Crime.

It is sad that we have degenerated into socialist party a or socialist party b in terms of Democrats and republicans - not much difference anymore. Third parties (most seem progun)are not strong enough co carry an election and most gun owners end up voting republican as the lesser of 2 evils. I am a registered indepentant and would consider my self a little L libritarian (I DON'T believe in open broders, legal prostitution or legalizing drugs except pot) but may register dremcrat just to vote against Hillary.

What really helped was to arrest people for even minor crimes like subway turnstile jumping . One of those when processed led to a murder conviction !! Tough on criminals is always the answer not silly gun control.

Sad thing is... most of mainstream America will hear this and believe that more gun control is the answer to all their worries, in whatever town they happen to reside. He's a 9/11 hero; they'll take his word as gospel.

Really sad thing is that most Americans are statring to believe that government is the soultion to problems when more often than not it is the root cause.

Jim Gilmore
WHO?

I never heard of him.
I did Google him and he appears to be a real Republican.
Therefore I doubt the RNC will support his run.
McCain looks to have the edge on the rest of the RINOs.

+1

I actually really wanted to like Rudy, and I was hoping he would get away from the Gun Control issue making it a "New York City only" thing. He actually reduced crime by upgrading and making the NYPD more "professional" and by the book. Bad things still happened in NYC during his term, but I can see a difference walking the streets of Manhatten as a tourist before he became mayor and after he left. NYC always had excessive gun laws and they still do. He should realize that had nothing to do with the reduction of crime during his term. He did do some good things with policing and crime prevention. I still can't figure out what he did to the Homeless when he was in office:confused:

In one sense I think he would be good for the war on terror, DHS and the border issues, but Gun control will make him lose core republican votes. Honestly He and McCain are the only two Republican with a shot of winning and both are Anti Gun. I'm a republican and I rather vote for a pro gun Democrat, if one existed?

At Last!!! A Republican Worth A Vote!

Ron Paul has thrown his hat into the ring! He is one of the FEW politicans worth anything in Washington bar none!! Time for me to register Republican instead of Independant.

the more complex the problems...the simpler the solution...
crime with guns..just take the guns away (from everone)...illegal aliens...just make them legal...finance woes...forgive the debt..and raise taxes..global warming...get rid of cars...ride a bike...war in the mid east...just leave it...whew...its lunch time...lets take a break

having trouble telling the difference between a dem & a republican..not to worry...its very much like three card monty...here...let me move the cards around....OK now...which one is the real republican

ain't this American ingenuity at its best...

voting independent...again!!

Rudy on Hannity

I just heard Rudy trying to soften his postions on Sean Hannity's radio show.

"while even though he is Pro-choice he would appoint constructionist judges, and he is againts partial birth abortion...and while he liked massive gun control in NYC he wants to leave it up to the states..."

Every politician is a politician and will talk the talk to get elected.
I like rudy as mayor but so far not as president. maybe vice-pres?

Yep - heard that too - sounded pretty good - all constrict constitutionalisim, except for 2A vs. "densely populated" areas - so leave it up to local/states. STILL hasn't explained how gun control = less crime, or what population has to do with natural rights. Closer, but still not right. :(
