I just noticed you are in WA. Did you find that gem at the Lacey store? I sometimes go into the Tulalip store but not very often. I've never purchased a used gun from Cabelas as their prices are always about 15% over the street price but I still look.

I purchased a new scope there which worked out to be a good deal with the rebate.

Hope you enjoy that new rifle, I know I would.

I was at Cabelas in Tualitin Oregon, long guns are always less expensive there :D

Every once in a while.
Last summer I bought a Win 75 in great shape with original magazine for $249 minus a $25 off coupon for a total cost of $224. It had been drilled and tapped BUT had period correct rings and a period correct low power Weaver on it that was clear and bright. Missed the 540T with a Burris on it for $500 my buddy saw but decided not to buy.

CoalTrain49:
I think they expect you to negotiate a little on the price.

Never seen a gun dealer yet that wouldn't listen to an offer.

That is what I have found. I generally ask if there is any room on their marked price and then what their best and final is if I want the gun. Cabela's also gives Veterans a 5% discount at the final ring up of guns. A few times, applying that 5% with other running discounts I have done quite well.
