Local Gander Mtn sale had Ruger 10/22's on sale for $150.

I'm not familiar with rifles. The Ruger was listed as having a 10 shot rotary magazine. Is it possible to fit other magazines for that rifle with higher capacity?

Is $150 a good deal?

I couldn't tell, but can you easily mount a scope to a rifle like that?

Thanks.

$150 seems like a pretty ok price for brand new. You can get an insane amount of aftermarket magazines for these things. 10 round, high cap., super high cap. and even some supder duper high cap. mags :)

Yes you can easily mount a scope on it. Make sure you see the manila envelope in the box when you pick it up. It has the base and screws in it.

Yes, go to Rimfirecentral.com Those guys are really into their .22's spending a grand on upgrades and what not for thier 10/22's. Those guys are Nutz! :what:

I bought mine from a friend in the 80's after he decided 22's weren't exciting enough. Truth is, I didn't think it would be too exciting either, but I wanted a squirrel hunting tool. He threw in 2 Ramline 30 rd magazines, a 50 rd one, and the mag loader. I didn't like the loader, but the high cap magazines have worked well for almost 20 years without problems. I also mounted a 4X scope to it for squirrel hunting without any problems. It has been a fine rifle and served well in teaching my wife to shoot with a scope before graduating to a deer rifle.
