Fella's;
I've seen fairly recent production 10/22's deliver very good accuracy. But, the new owner didn't just go buy cheap ammo & blast away. He bought a small amount of a helluva lot of different ammo & went to the range & did serious accuracy testing. Once he found what his gun wanted, it shot just fine. I've seen this happen several times now.
So, before you go spend some serious money on a new this or that, do the testing. Then, if it won't shoot with anything, buy some other guy's take-off tube for $10.00 & test that. Odds are way good you'll have a decent, if not exceptional, shooting .22 if you do your part.
