I Ruger 22/45, blued, 6" slabside barrel. It is stamped target on one side and stamped competition target model on the other. It is not stamped U.S. Gov. I have been given a couple of stories on its origins. One being that it came through an accurazation shop somewhere, the other being that it is an identical version to a 22/45 the military trained with to simulate the full size 1911, .45. It does have a little more muzzle flip than other simular .22 semi-auto pistols which I have tamed with a Tasco PROpoint red dot. It is an extremely accurate shooter with a great trigger. A little unusual for a Ruger factory trigger. The serial # is 220-949xx. Any info on this pistol would be greatly appreciated. email: [email protected]
