I have a 8" Charger in 22lr that I've been using as a suppressor host for ranch varmints and general fun. (Yes my suppressor is a Tax Stamped Legit Unit) I've tried deciphering the new ATF memo and points worksheet to figure out if my Charger is included in this mess. Anyone have a better understanding of this than me? Would love to continue running it as is but don't want to inadvertently become a tax evasion felon. Gotta love retro application laws........Grrrrrrrr.
Any good leads on understanding this greatly appreciated.

Would you please explain what memo you’re referring to? What are you trying to determine in relation to that particular firearm.
ATF worksheet attached

My understanding the 22 Charger is light enough "under 64 oz with accessories removed" to forgo the point system for the brace. But I am not a lawyer and it's your dog.

At last check, the ATF points system for changing braces was only a proposed rule. It had not been allowed to take effect. At best, any headache over the spreadsheet would only serve as an induction as to what the ATF wants to do. But If the proposed rule does pass, there is nothing preventing the ATF from going by their own points system in regards to braces.
