Ruger American Ranch Issues

I took the American to the range Saturday afternoon to break in the barrel (I know there are conflicting arguments regarding the merits of breaking in a barrel, but I'd never done it before so I thought I'd give it a try.) After 17 rounds and 9 barrel cleaning sessions, everything was going great, the rifle was keeping tight groups and I thought I'd start shooting it suppressed - afterall, that's why I bought this rifle with the threaded barrel. The first suppressed round completely separated at the neck and the neck is still lodged in the chamber. I was shooting factory Nosler 110gr Varmageddon ammunition. The first 17 looked perfect. I've called Ruger, but they're closed for the Columbus Day Holiday, so I sent them an email.

Any ideas?!

Have you tried this suppressor on a known perfectly functioning rifle? Is there a back pressure issue causing problems. Don't know suppressors so just throwing oddball stuff out.
Send it back to Ruger with your ammo and suppressor for them to test as a group.

Again cant run a suppressor here, but im guessing putting it on either messed with peak pressure or the pressure curve. The varmagedon ammo may not be ment to run suppressed, might be the issue. Also, seems odd to me a bolt gun would pull a case neck off, was the action hard to operate after the shot?
Now im curious, I havent had any issue like that with my American. Do wish i could run a can tho.
case necks can usually be popped from the chamber with and oversized brush.

Recently I sent an email to Ruger and described the first round failure to feed problem in detail. So far I have not received even an acknowledgement of receipt of the message. I will try again soon to see if they can actually help correct the problem.
Tuesday 10-11. Ruger responded with a request for address to send replacement magazine, hopefully this one will function correctly.

Perhaps try calling mikey, that has always gotten a good response for me. They may be shuffling the email around, Ive had that happen. Usually calling will get some one on point.
