Ruger American Rifle update

I have the same gun, that I won in a local Fire Department Raffle, and now that I have seen yours in that laminated stock, I'm about to spend some money with Boyds. That is a great looking rifle by the way. What scope do you have on it? I had a brand new Leupold 3x9x40 Rimfire that I put on mine.

I went with a Simmons 3x9x32 because I didn’t have a bunch of extra cash at the time I set it up. I plan on upgrading the scope if it craps out on me, but so far it’s done really well.

Nothing wrong with a Simmons on a low recoiling rifle like a rimfire. I had one on a Winchester 22mag I gave to my oldest son that was about 15 years ago and has had thousands of rounds through it. Still shoots good today. I was lucky to find the Leupold scope on sale at my local gun store during Christmas and got is for 30% off retail.
