I'm looking for a cheap 300 BLK to fool around with and this looks like a candidate. I want to shoot 110-125 supersonic around 2300 fps unsurpressed and that twist has me a bit worried. That twist is for heavier bullets and I'm wondering if it will be a dog with lighter bullets and such a fast twist. I would like at least 2 moa or I won't be happy.

Anyone using their RARR with 110-125 gr bullets. What are you seeing as far as accuracy?

I shot a lot of 110-125s thru my .300aac upper and RAR. Both had 1-7s and were easily capable of moa or better accuracy.
@someguy2800 has quite a bit of .300aac experience, and could probably give a better idea than I can as to top end performance.

I actually don’t have all that much experience with it. I had mine for about 4 months and now the barrel is sitting on my shelf waiting for a new upper to put it on. I did quite a bit of experimenting with bullets and powders in that time though. Probably a dozen bullets and half a dozen powders. Almost all supersonic. In my opinion the sweet spot for the blackout is 125 grain bullets and H110 was far and away the best powder tested. My 16” 1:8 twist would push a 125 to just over 2400 fps with safe pressures and right around 1 moa with most bullets. Magnum primers didn’t really make any difference compared to normal small rifle primers. Lil gun would get up to 2500 fps with a heavily compressed load but was not as accurate and proved to be dangerous in very cold temps. H110 did great in cold temps. Very fun cartridge. I intend to get a contender barrel in it.

I just noticed that Wilson came out with a new cartridge/rifle designed around the .223 case that primarily uses 110-125 grain bullets. They call it a 300 HAM'R and the barrels are 1/15 twist. That's a huge difference from Ruger's 1/7. Makes me wonder if the Ruger's twist is a compromise to facilitate sub sonic bullets. I'm really not interested in sub sonic, only super sonic velocity.

the Ham'r is not ment to use heavy long for caliber bullets launched sub sonic, there for they optimized the twist rate for the shorter projectiles. You probably cant get one of the longer 150s to stabilize completely in a 1-15, but its about perfect for the light weights.
The .300AAC is basically a new version of the 300Whisper, and has always be intended to be able to use heavy bullets at subsonic velocities, there for it NEEDS a fast twist to achieve its objectives.
This may give up some degree of inherent accuracy, but from my limted experience, and that of others, it seems like the twist is fine for general use.
If you DO end up wanting to play with subs, having that fast twist will make life much easier. I shot 5gr of w231 behind a 245MBC, and had a blast with it...not real useful, but fairly quiet even without the cans were not allowed to have out here.

Interesting information as always,
Stay safe out there--first volcanoes and now hurricanes. Y'all have to be getting tired of this.
