..if I did mine a little better. Today I checked out the scope settings of my Ruger Blackhawk, 5" bbl, .45 Colt. This is a cylinder load at 100 yards from sandbag rest. I don't know what happened with the first two shots but I couldn't belive the next 4. I am just not that good with a pistol anymore. But it did make me feel confident that a deer at 50 yds is in trouble.

Before you start the hunt. While your still in your warm Pick Up, I suggest you fire 2 rounds thru the floor Windows up. Don't want to scare the deer.. We Know next 4 will do the job while first 2 are so,so. Good hunting:)

The real question is, How did the next six group?

It is possible for different chambers in the same cylinder to shoot to different points of aim.

You'll need to fire at least three rounds from each chamber to establish the true accuracy of the gun with each individual load.

The next 6 were not that good but I could cover them with my hand. I find that I can influence greatly the point of impact by how hard I grip the gun even though it is over sandbags and, as far as I can tell, the crosshairs are in the same place when it goes boom.
Maybe if I just put two fired rounds in and follow it by 4 live ones???:D
