I've had good luck w/Ruger too. needed a taller front sight for an Old Army

Dang, I've been needing a taller front sight on my Old Army for years and years, didn't realize they'd do that. I need to call 'em about that! Thanks! I'd thought there was one and only one sight height. Not sure who gave me that idea. For years, I just adjusted my sight picture to account for the high POI.

A couple of cautions when sending a Ruger product to the factory for repair. One, if it is an "old model" (three-screw) single-action (Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk or Bearcat) and it has not had a "safety conversion" installed, they will put one in it whether you ask for it or not. You do get the replaced parts back, the last I knew. (As mentioned, my own SuperB already had one when I got it, so this was not an issue.) Two, if any action work has been done to it, they will remove the polished or stoned parts, non-factory springs, etc. and replace them with original parts. This was done to my Super Blackhawk, on which my brother stoned the cylinder pawl (as it is called) to smooth the trigger pull.
