Ruger made a Speed Six GS-32, and GS-33. The GS-32 weighed 31 ounces, and had a 2 3/4" barrel. It is my understanding that the GS-33 came with a 3" heavier barrel. These were USPS revolvers.

Does anyone have a weight on the GS-33, or have one that you can throw on a scale? Here is a pic of the GS-32 and GS-33:

JoeSchmoe, I'm not positive, but I think those are Hogue grips.

Kevin, when you say yours is a bull barrel, which picture does it look like?

We get used to it, I guess, but all that warning stuff on the barrel is just gross. I would like that gun in 38 Special sans the warning. Is there such a gun?

They should still be making such a gun or at least offer the 3" GP100 with adjustable sights as a regular item. I wouldn't want a 2 3/4" gun fixed sighted for 25 yards, nor would I want to live with a POI an inch or more left or right.

BTW I have the scales but not the gun. Sorry to butt in. Wish I could help.

Those are some nice sixes you have mesinge. How many do you have, and do you know much about the GS-33 USPS?

Mesinge, check out the following thread, it's got some great pics of the gun I'm referring to. You can see from the pics, the barrel appears to be thicker, and the lug reaches all the way to the tip of the barrel. I'm intrigued by the GS-33, because it looks like the offspring of a 3" GP100, and a 3" SP101.

All these Ruger Six-Series threads are making me hate S&W, and wonder why Ruger stopped making the Sixes. :scrutiny:

A late '80s Service Six has already been added to my wish-list; now I have to add a Speed Six, too. Thanks a lot. ;)
