Ruger finally came through

Finally is the word, too. My SRH never made it through its first six shots, and went back to Ruger on October 31. Today, I finally got the check reimbursing me for the shipping.

Next time I'll insist on a prepaid shipping label. I wasn't insistent enough and thus ended up with this long-lasting hassle. But I *did* get it.

Refresh our memory.

What happened and when? How long was the gun at Ruger?

I bought a 9 1/2 inch SRH in October. On its first trip to the range, it shot five rounds okay, then totally screwed up...the case of the sixth round looked as though it had been peeled/pushed back on one side and while I could get it out of the revolver, it was warped too badly to go back in. I reloaded, thinking it was just the ammo. Shot one shot, and the thing was locked up, cylinder wouldn't turn. I emptied it out, came home, called Ruger, and sent it off to them. They got it back to me inside of two weeks.

The service, per se, was great. The waiting for the refund on the shipping was abominable.

The revolver, BTW, has not had a hiccup since.
