As a proud owner of a 4" blued GP, 3" blued GP, 3" stainless GP, and 3" SP-101, I will step right into the ranks here and say that the GP is as good or better than anything else out there. Put in slightly reduced-power hammer and trigger return springs, do some dry firing, and enjoy a very sweet trigger indeed. I have quite a few Smiths which I dearly love, but I gotta say the Rugers are every bit as fine and enjoyable. Frankly, I don't see why you'd even consider a Brazillian gun. Yeah, they will get the job done and if that's ALL that matters, so be it. Tauri are cheaper to buy, but if you ever decide to resell it, who would want a used Taurus??? On the other hand, buy a new or used Smith or Ruger today and there will always be people wanting to buy them from you tomorrow. (But you ain't going to want to sell them!)

The 4" is awesome, but these fixed sight 3"ers are seductive as hell... I LOVE 'em! ;-)=
