BobCav,
I am a woman and am 5'7" and @195 to 200lbs. A couple guys at my range say I might have a weak wrist. So I guess I blow off the rest of the ammo and then turn it in back to the shop to be sold. I have extra mags if you are interested, I will sell them cheap. Two are still in the cases, never opened.

Let me know if you're interested, otherwise I might do the eBay thing with all the extra holsters and thing that I have collected. I can even sell used brass on there.

If interesested give me a shout,
Thank Bohdi

Damn BobCav,
From your stat's I think I love you!!! lol Happy belated Valentines Day.
Take Care,
Bohdi:fire:

OK, dumb question for all you people that have been at this quite awhile... What is FTE? Sorry for my ignorance.
Bo

It stands for Fail To Extract. Its when a autoloaders extracter for some reason fails to pull a spent casing out of the chamber.

Thanks for the report. I'm a long time Ruger fan and currently own a P90 along with a few others. Today for the 1st time I looked at a P345. I loved the way it felt in my hand. I have a hard time justifying buying another Ruger .45 so right next to it in the case was a like new Beretta 92F for the same price. I've never owned a 9mm before and always wanted one so the Beretta came home with me. (They didn't have any Ruger 9's in stock). I'm very happy to hear a good report on the P345. My P90 is rock solid reliable and I don't think Ruger always gets the respect they deserve. I think their quality control suffered for a time but they have addressed the problems and I'm excited to see what they do in the next few years.

FTE

Thank you very much for the explanation. Mine doesn't FTE it just jamn's trying to load like it get cought in the slide. But like I said Ruger re-worked the whole dang thing and I have tried many different ammo's. One more try Saturday and if it jamns it's going back on the block for sale

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Bohdi. I'm curious, how old is your P345 ? It's said that the earliest run of them had some issues. Mine is a P345D, the decock-only model, and it has run around 3000 rounds in the last year flawlessly.

To those interested in a P345. IMHO, It's a great gun and one I would absolutely recommend. It didn't win Guns and Ammo's 2004 gun of the year award for nothing. Sometimes you hear the rumors about Ruger releasing a 1911 style gun, and while some will consider this blasphemy.. I think they already sort of did. Though slightly more bulky, I consider it sort of a crossbreed between the old Rugers and a commander 1911. Which is a good thing. In fact, My Springer Loaded will fit perfectly in my open bottom Hume belt slide holster designed for a P345. One of the only things really keeping it back from what I would consider to be greatness, is that it has been seemingly overlooked thus far in terms of accessories and after-market parts. My P345 is my carry gun, but I'm often apt to consider carrying something else simply because I would like to have night sights. Some people will find the P345 to be too large for carry, and that is understandable. I'm 6' , 210 lbs, wide shouldered slim waisted athletic build , so I can conceal pretty much anything vertical on my hip. Ah, that brings holsters to mind. Parts and things like night sights may not be around, but holsters for the P345 most certainly are. Almost all major holster makers both factory and custom make a P345 holster.
I'll finish the long winded post with a related picture I made a few months back. And also one showing the relative size of the P345 for concealed carry.

Hi Guys,
I called Ruger and according to th S/N it was made in Oct 2004.
I guess one of the first ones made. If I could sell it to someone besides a dealer I would but I live in Mass and you can't buy, send or anything to do with guns besides with dealers. Massachusetts rules really suck at times. I got to pay huge amounts for ammo because I can't get it elsewhere,

Thank for you well wishes and take care.
Bo

I have a KP345PR than followed me home after the first time I saw it. Mine has worked flawlessly, with anything I have put in it. I put a Laserlyte compact laser light on mine. I took a few stitches out of my IWB holster to make room for it and it works great.

Thanks, Bodhi....Happy belated VD to you too! I'm flattered.

I just recently bought mine almost new with 5 mags for $350! Great deal and I can always use a couple more! That way for HD I can keep some strategically placed around the house where I might need to reload. PM me with some info and I'll take hose two off your hands!

Weak wrists will certainly cause ejection problems...the .45 might just be too much gun for you. Have you tried any of the .40's?
