97 guns,

You shot over a thousand rounds through that gun in just two sessions? Wow. I don't even do that much with an AR.

Nine is fine

The LC9 is a great little gun in all respects except one; The trigger sucks!
If you can get over that, then it is a bargain.

im one of the very few that really like the trigger. im no expert, not military but i own alot of guns and i do not feel comfortable carrying a glock or S/A so for me the long DA is great. i have no problem with combat accuracy at 25 yards and can even shoot rocks at 100 yards pretty good.

I don't have anything against the Ruger, and in fact my first outing I shot the LC9 & the CM9 side by side and actually thought I liked the Ruger better. I have been carrying an LCP for about three years so I was used to a long heavy pull, however eventually I came to appreciate the ease with which the CM9 shot and got rid of the LC9 and picked up another Kahr. I'll be the first to admit I need every advantage I can get when it comes to shooting these small guns and for me the CM9 is far superior to shoot.
Enjoy your Ruger, it's a great little gun.

I bought mine within 2 mos of their introduction. It proved to be reliable. My only real complaint about the gun is that, for it's size, it could have a much more refined trigger. I get putting that trigger/hammer setup in the LCP but the LC9 has enough room to accommodate a nicer short reset DAO setup.

i am also familiar with the kahr triggers, i have owned both pm9/40 and totally opposite of you i have settled for the ruger. i do think the kahr trigger is better and i would buy a cm9 if it were available to me in ca., the pm9 i had was pretty decent but not 100% and the 40 was a jammomatic.

I held one in a gun shop the other day. The trigger is way better than the LCP. The LC9 isn't a lot different than many double action revolvers, but I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a second strike capability.

I ended up buying a PK380 for my girlfriend instead. It's a wonderful pistol but it's not quite as small as the LC9.

Take it apart, its the same design.

The trigger isn't nearly as bad as most imply. Yes, it's long. But you can still shoot it accurately stock.

Have over 3000 rounds thru mine without an issue. I replaced the guide rod with a steel one from Galloway just because. I didn't have a problem with the plastic one. I too felt the grip was too thin, I added a hogue sleeve. I grew up on revolvers, the trigger feels good to me. They come packed with a lot of grease from ruger, you have to give it a good cleaning before firing.

I have a LCP and am thinking about moving up to the 9. Same trigger? I have no problem with the LCP trigger, in fact that little gun is surprisingly accurate for a nearly no sights pocket rocket.
