Hello all, I know this has probably been done before but I just wanted to post a pic of my new purchase and give my opinion in case there is anyone out there thinking about buying this gun.
First off I love this gun Ruger really did a good job making a competitive option to the Kel-Tec P3AT, I managed to pick one up at my local gun dealer for $269. I Went to the range Friday to break it in and was very happy with how it shot. Prior to this purchase I've been carrying a S&W air weight 637 for deep concealment, while this is a fine gun and I still plan to keep it I am very much sold on the LCP. The recoil on the LCP is very manageable and I found it a little more enjoyable to shoot for the full range session then my 637 (your mileage may differ). Shot a full box of .380 ammo through it and only experienced one FTF (most likely due to the gun still breaking in slide did not go all the way forward, a simple push and it was fine and no more malfunctions after that). The only thing I would recommend is that if you get this gun make sure you get some mags with the finger grip extension, when the gun recoils it feels like its trying to jump up in your hand slightly and the finger grip mags seem to make this more manageable. For the money I think its a heck of a deal the gun is so slim and lightweight that carrying it couldn't be easier. I know a .380 isn't the best caliber out there and my normal primary carry piece is a Glock 19, but I think that this gun serves as a very dependable backup or primary carry if your clothing is very limited. Such as in hotter climates. Basically this gun is a GO ANYWHERE gun that can always be had with you. First rule of a gunfight after all is "Have a gun!!"
Well I'll post a pic of it for yall hope this report was helpful for anyone thinking about this gun, I am definitely very satisfied.
