BPHunter: Have you found a snubbie that you can group better with? With my LCR, I found that the addition of the Crimson Trace inproved accuracy considerably, mainly because I adjusted the laser to compensate for my "high and right" trigger pull.

The LCR 38 special is a more potent SD round than the LCP .380 for sure. LCR for sure bro. I own one and find the recoil VERY manageable; even in +P. Go with Speer Gold Dot for short barrel or something similar, IMHO.

I'm interested in the LCR also.

I'd like to read some comments from LCR .357 owners. How's that going for ya? Are you getting acceptable double tap results within the 21 feet range and closer?

When was there an LCR recall? I must have slept right through it.

ditto any written proof of a recall on the LCR?

there was for other models on rugers website like the LCP which is a semi auto .380 pistol not a .38sp+P revolver

and as of right this moment there is still nothing on rugers official site about any recall or safety warnings

as for the OP

i have had mine since the very first one came on the shelves here localy and its seen alot of use without any failure

its pretty accurate for a snubby and does have a little bit of recoil to tame but nothing hand shattering by any means

im looking forward to picking up a .357Mag model sometime soon

Over on the Ruger forum, a couple of people have reported gas cutting problems with their LCR's, where flash from the cylinder-gap upon firing has forced hot gases into the frame, cutting into it. A thought seems to be that an incorrect cylinder and or barrel alignment could cause this? Some have said that after firing about 125 plus rounds or so they noticed this. But some haven't had this problem with their LCR's? Could it be a segregated fluke? Maybe just an over sight during a numbered-lot manufacture? Maybe? However, many LCR owners have fired their LCR's far more often than that, and have reported no problems.

I believe the lightweight S&W revolvers have some type of a shield but the LCR doesn't? But Ruger has gotten some complaints. Don’t know the out come I guess just contact Ruger about it.

I've had mine since early last summer. I've shot over 400 rounds through it. No problems what so ever. No recall, but yeah, some recoil. What do you expect from a 14 oz revolver shooting a decent .38 round?
