I have an Ruger Mark II .22 Lr , it has a weird problem that the bullet always was jammed, I took it to a gunsmith to do a deep cleaning, he said maybe something else is broken, but he didn't find out and returned it to me after cleaning , the bullets self I used looks like OK.
Thanks.

What kind of gunsmith can't figure out a Ruger MkII?o_O
First step in diagnosing any semiautomatic pistol problem is try a different magazine.

I'm shooting 20 y/o "bulk Wallybox" in my MKII standard currently (last 1K out of 11K bought at a garage sale maybe 10 yrs ago). The powder charges are wildly inconsistent, sometimes throwing empties 20 ft other times empty doesn't clear breech, jamming next cartridge downward and causing some bullet deformation. This morning I sprayed Breakfree "liberally" on the bolt and it was much better, 1 empty stovepipe (out of 200 rd), cleared, pushed partially chambered cartridge rest of the way with index finger. If "wet" don't work you might need the recoil spring assembly the factory used to sell for $7. Love MK II's. Joe

I have a MKII that occasionally has issues with ejection and feeding. Always the problems disappear with a thorough cleaning. It is a sweet shooting incredibly accurate pistol but it definitely gets dirty really quickly. Blowback action. Go figure. I feed it cheap ammo which undoubtedly isn't helping. A quick pull of the bolt and hosing it out with carb cleaner gives me miraculous results. Over lubing also isn't helpful in my experience.

I've had a MK2 for a few years. A couple of the aftermarket mags jammed on every 2 or 3 rounds and they went into the reject bin of crap I don't necessarily want to throw away, but have no plans to do anything with. Runs completely reliably with the factory Ruger MK2 mags I have, all 4 of them, no issues at all. Very cheap dirty amm will cause some feeding/ejecting issues, but I don't blame the pistol for that and save that crappy ammo now for revolvers.
