ruger mark III

i just bought a ruger mk III 22/45..during the dissasembly process and removing the mainspring housing I did somtheing wrong b/c now I'm not getting anywhere with it....help please

I'd bet a dollar that you've managed to get the hammer strut hung up somehow, that's the most common source of problems for a first Ruger mkI/II/III owner.

Is the bolt out?
What position is the hammer in?

So does it look like this?


You might have to use a rubber mallet to get it out.
