Ruger Mini 14 Mags

Greetings, Does anyone know what company actually makes the mags for the Ruger Mini 14. Ruger may make them, I just don't know. Thanks

TripleK, Ruger, ProMag, and others make magazines for the Mini14. ProMags are the only aftermarket mags worth a darn.

I think you guys all misread the question. The OP wants to know who makes the Mini-14 factory mags for Ruger. Not who makes after market mags for it.

I believe they are actually made at the Ruger plant in CT, not contracted out, or the contractor could be making unmarked excellent clones for a song, and cleaning up on the market.

+1 on promags, If i idnt know any better Id say they WERE factory.

My Mini is a #197 Ranch Rifle every mag i have tried has performed flawlessly. I have tried the same after market mags in other Minis and they would work at all. I guess it just depends on your Mini. I have never heard of a Ruger factory mags not working.

Ruger makes a factory 20 rounder only sold to law enforcment dealers (because they suck-LOL) They are the best mags you can get but run $50 a pop (very pricey...I bought 3 for my new 580 series mini and they work great) Promag blued steel 20 round magazines work great and look almost identicle....I bought 5 of those so far and have feed several hundred rounds through all of the above....several times just loading 5-6 rounds at a time (best way to find a problem mag as even a "bad mag" will usually feed the first 50-60% of rounds fine (unless it's really a majorly sorry mag) Anyway they run 15-20 a piece....I'll be buying more of them
