Hi all,

Working on my Mk II's bolt. Somehow the extractor seems to have broken off. I got on the fantastic page from 1bad69 and was pretty confident that with a handful of new parts I could do the job.

BUT, after pulling back the plunger, nothing falls out. The extractor seems to be totally gone, but there's something in there preventing me from slipping in the new one (like a chunk of the old one).

Is there some trick to getting the extractor plunger out, or should it just come out, and if it should just come out, any wisdom on how I might force hammer saw or sweat it out?

As always, thnk you in advance for your insights.

Be sure you have the hammer stop pin out first, then once you have the sprung plunger pulled fully rearward in the bolt, you should able to "dump" or shake out the rest of the extractor. Use a towel to catch any flying or dropped parts.

Thanks for the input Josh,

Yeah, I tried that, but the chunk seems wedged back in there. It's not coming out with only the influence of gravity.

Any other ideas anyone?
