Having had a birthday last week .... and a wallet slightly more engorged than usual .... I decided to buy a companion for my Browning Buck Mark.
So I bought a Ruger Mark III. It has a 5.5" "bull" barrel (I think that's what they're called; it's a "target" model) and is nice shiny blued.
The store where I purchased it, Academy Sports, interestingly had two nearly identical Ruger Mk III's. The only difference I noted was the one I bought had thicker grips; the other had grips that seemed nearly flat with the frame. I don't quite "get" that. Anyway, the fatter gripped version felt better in my hand so that's what I wound up with.
Now I need a range trip ..... and .... it's suppose to be a rainy weekend here.
But hey ... I can be patient!
