Ruger MkIII 22/45 hogue 1911 grip mod question

I ordered the hogue 1911 wrap-around rubber grip. Will any mil-spec screw set and screw bushings work for this modification?

This may be a dumb question, but do you mean that the original 22/45 can be modded for a 1911 grip (such as Hogue) or do you mean adding a Hogue to one of the new replaceable gripped 22/45s?

Yes the 22/45 (non rp) can be modded to accept 1911 grips. it requires sanding down the center of the grip panel flush, drilling and tapping the plastic grip frame to accept 1911 bushing's and then you can put 1911 grips on it.

Or you can use these. Screws are for looks, grips are held on with 3M automotive double face tape.
No permanant modification so it doesnt void your warrenty

That Hogue looks great on there!!! I put the universal wrap around grip on every pistol I own.......well except for my Ruger single six.
