I purchased a new ruger p-95pr15 monday this week. Man am i impressed with this pistol. It was inexpensive [around 300.00 new with case and extra 15 rd cap mag.] It is simple, rugged ,reliable, and time tested. What a value in my opinion. My son has a ruger p-90.dc.45cal circa 1993. it looks as new, and has never had a malfunction of any kind.He purchased a ruger sr9 a few weeks ago and it to has performed without a single problem. The first 16 rds i fired with my new pistol were a mixed magazine of 115gr hp and 115 grfmj. I did this intentionally just to boost my already high level. all sixteen rds fed ,fired, ejected and went to point of aim. This mind you was literally right out of the box . i did not even wipe the cosmoline out of it,although there wasnt a lot. Now i dont normally mistreat my weapons but i just had a bad experience with my prior pistol being unreliable and i wanted to be sure and i am . For me this is the right gun for all time. peace

The Ruger P95 is one of the finest 9mm pistols available at any price. You made a wise choice.

I have the stainless version in decocker. Never has any feeding problems. Pretty accurate too. The only thing I wish was changed is the little snap ring and washer holding the spring on. If you shoot it alot like I do they have to be replaced every couple of thousand rounds. But Ruger will send them out to you for free.

a ruger question

question for ruger handgun people: love my old 22 cal. single six, know that in the rimfire realm Ruger is tops -- but why do I hear negatives sometimes about their centerfire autoloaders? I want to get a (preferably non-ammo-picky) 9 mm autoloader for casual target shooting, maybe beretta 92, sigsauer, something like that, would like stainless, not too worried about the disassemble concerns I have heard about, but other than that, what about ruger or others?
