my p89(9mm) is very old and i just bought a p95(9mm). i had very few jams with the p89 with thousands of rounds through it. the p95 is new and jammed several times. this is with wwb brass. thing is i noticed with the rugers the jams are show stoppers! i mean the gun is locked up. i have to take the mag out and mess with the gun for a while.
last week i was shooting my p95 and the case was caught long ways on its way out(flat stove pipe?) so i pulled the slide back and the case went out but the next round went in the chamber almost standing up. i had to take the mag out and mess with it. note this was with wwb brass round nose.
the sw9ve(9mm) only jammed with steel or aluminum cases. i have shot 500 rounds of brass with no problems. but when i do get a jam with steel i just slightly pull the slide back a little and the round goes in.
should i get rid of the p95?
