Looked at disassembly instructions online and even a video and for the life of me I cannot get he slide off.

I pushed the ejector arm down and I get the pin out as far as it will go ( looks just like in the pic in the link below but the slide only goes about 1/4 forward ( past where it would normally be with the slide closed ).

What am I missing?

TIA!

Did what he did in the vid and no luck. ejector pushed down and slide pin out all the way out as far as it will go. The slide pin comes out easy and stops dead so it feels all the way out. the slide stops dead and is not binding but hitting something that doesn't give.

There is a piece where the top of the mag goes that needs to be flipped forward before the slide will come off.

ETA:Sorry I just read the post where you said you put the ejector down. Is it new or used. It may have enough ware that the barrel link is catching on the trigger.

That's the ejector. He said he already took care of that. Not sure what the problem is.

Are you pulling the slide back and lining it up right before you try to remove the slide stop?

I slide the slide back, remove the magazine, flip the ejector forward and down ( it stays down) I then push the pin out the left side, once the pin is out, I slide the slide forward and off the frame.

You don't. and if for some reason it pops up, push it forward and down again, when the slide in installed and the pins is aligned and installed, let the slide go, just let it go, when the slide goes forward it lays the ejector down.

I pull the slide back a fraction of an inch and the slide stop comes right out with no effort then stops dead and looks like it is out as far as the pics and vids.

When I pull the slide stop out the slide jumps forward 1/8-1/4" but then hits something.

when the slide slides to the rear, the ejector pops up and eject the case.

I realized that after I read his next post that is why I edited mine.

When the mag is inserted the ejector should pop back up. If you are certain that the ejector is down then try canting the gun to the right while letting up on the slide then the right then upside down. The point is to try to get the barrel link to fall away from the trigger. That is the only 2 things that I can think of that it would hang on.

The ejector is not coming back up when inserting the mag. I gave it some stiff taps with my palm and it isn't going in.

Thanks for all the replies.

my buddy has the same problem, come to find out he has a broken frame in the back where the previous owner tried to diassembly it but couldnt because of the above outlined procedures ,so he tried to hit it off and now its stuck...

It is my son's pistol. He is going to take it to a local smith. As soon as I find out the problem I will report back to this thread.

The sear is located behind the ejector. If you remove the grip from the left side then you will be able to see it. hold the slide back just a hair to relive pressure & take a small but long (6") screwdriver or something similar & shove it forward & the sear will move down out of the slide to allow it to move forward & off the frame.

I wish I had a good picture to show you. I will look some to see if there is something on the net to link to.
