Looking for opinions on Ruger P89 vs Ruger P95. In your experience which has been more reliable, which is more accurate and which is more durable?
Thanks.

I've got a Ruger P89 that I've had for about 5-6 years now. It is as reliable as the sun. I've NEVER had a malfunction except that the last few times the slide wasn't staying back when I inserted a full mag pretty hard. Cured that with a new recoil spring. It has around 3600 rounds through it now. It is more accurate than I am and easy to fieldstrip and clean. I can field strip it blind folded in about 5-10 seconds.

What he said about the P-89 was also true for my P-95.

The P-95 has a somewhat (they claim) improved lockup system, and I found the grip somewhat more comfortable and ergonomic for MY hand.

The P-97 involved other improvements, and the newest gun, the P-345(?) seems a further evolutionary improvement.

I'd say it is an absolute tie for those specific questions. Can't go wrong with either in my opinion...if those are the criteria you are basing your decision on. Going to come down to be more a matter of ergonomics for you, do you prefer all metal or polymer, overall size, etc. My favorite is the KP94 model in 9mm which kind of sort of shoots the gap between the two...all metal like the P89 but with a slightly smaller overall size..but still a little larger and (of course) heavier then the P95.
