I recently purchased a Ruger P90 as a plinking gun, and while I haven't fired it yet, wanted to see if anybody has input. I've read a lot of reports of this gun jamming after a few hundred rounds if not cleaned, however nobody has said what oils they're using. Anyone out there have a specific oil/lube they've found to work best on this?

This gun has never had anything but Eezox and a Boresnake used on it, and it has been my CCW for 2 years. After shooting it, I run a boresnake through it. Once a month I field strip it, blow it out with an air compressor, and cover it lightly with Eezox and let it dry. My other guns that I don't use a lot, I do quarterly, and my Safe guns that I don't use a lot, twice a year. This has worked for me for several years. This gun has been shot lots, and has never jammed or misfired, and I shoot my hollow-point reloads through it a lot.

Ive put a couple thousand round through a p93 and never one jam. The most i ever put through in one session was 100 and not a single hitch. I just recently got some slip 2000 from bravocompanyusa.com and its awesomwe. I use it for rifles too.

I never shot more than 250rds in a single range session with mine. It hasn't jammed, but since I clean my guns after each rang trip, I don't know how many rounds it will go before it has feed issues. The slide rails either get Hoppes gun oil, which came with my cleaning kit, or Gunslick grease. Never had an issue with either

Congratulations on your purchase. I never had a problem with any of my three Ruger P series pistols, and the P90 is my favorite of the bunch. :)

I use a tiny dab of graphite grease on the rails, and thats it. I have let it go for a little over 1000 rounds, and it has never jammed up once. My P90 is hands down the most reliable gun I own. I have owned it for probably 15 years now, and it has been awesome!
