Ruger P944 .40 ?

I'm thinking about buying a Ruger P944 .40. Any thoughts from anyone? My brother has a Ruger .45 and swears by it. Just kinda torn on a daily carry, I like what I have heard about Ruger hand guns, but havent found anyone that knows alot about the P944.

Most of my P series Ruger autos have been good reliable performers but my sole example of a 944 was quite inaccurate. See if you can possibly testfire one first before you spend your money.

I had the opposite experience. The KP944D was my first semi-auto gun, and it has never given me a bit of trouble. After I put on some CT Laser Grips I swear I could shoot the doodads off a fly at fifteen feet. Where that laser beam is, that is exactly where the bullet goes. Wish I could say the same thing about my KP89D. But it also will still put out acceptable groups. Both of them are built like tanks and will take whatever abuse or rounds I care to feed them.
