Hey all, does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a peep sight that clamps on the standard Ruger scope base? Looking for one in line with the old Sako peeps that allow one to remove a scope and put a peep on in the field. With my old standby Sako .30-06 I can accomplish that feat in under 5 minutes with nothing more than a Leatherman screwdriver. Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving.

The peep sight on the GSR looks just like the OEM peeper on my Mini 14. It just uses a allen screw to hold it on the back of the receiver leaving the scope mounts free for other needs.

"The GSR peep sits in the rear scope mount. It may clamp into the mount differently than the rings, but it fits into the same spot. It may not work on a conventional Ruger 77, but I cannot see any reason it wouldn't."

it will work...only if you have the receiver drilled and tapped for the set screw...that ruger uses to set the sight on the GSR
