I bought one of the Gen One Ruger precision rifles in .308, added a muzzle brake...been experimenting with different rounds, mostly factory ammo, 150-180 grain...so far the 150 grain seem to be best but looking for heavier bullets for larger game....just any input on other ammo that might work best, thanks...

I've had good luck with the 178gr ELDx on targets and steel. My rifle shot them just as well as the same weight Amaxs, except the ELDx is slicker and actually designed for use on meat, both pros in my book for a bullet you might want to hunt with.

In that case, I'd try the Hornady Precision Hunter factory load with the 178gr ELDx. I haven't shot the factory load in my rifle, but reports are good, and the 143gr ELDx factory loads shot great in my 6.5s.
