I don't see the big deal about the original post date. It's been an interesting thread, and I've learned a few things since it was revived. It's not a bad thing to rehash old issues with new information.
Personally I like the .41 magnum. It's got a bit flatter trajectory than the .44, and every Ruger I've ever fired in this caliber has been plenty accurate.
Up until I read the explanation about boring it out I always thought that would be a waste of time and money, too. I'm not much into messing with good high quality firearms after I buy them. I just want to take it to the range and shoot. Now I can see that I have to rethink the issue.
