Ruger Security Six cylinder removal

I want to remove the cylinder from my Ruger Security Six to have it reamed. Is it just a matter of unscrewing the ejector rod from the cylinder? Is it right hand threads? Any help here will be deeply appreciated. Thanks

Yes. It has been a while, but I believe that they are left hand threads.
I cover the knurled end with a shop rag, and use channel locks to loosen it.
There is a spring under the ejector star.

Thanks for the info. It is a left hand thread. The pliers and the rag worked perfect.
