checked all the web auctions, so i'll pose the question.... 4" blue, nra 90%
ruger security-six in orginal box w/papers. they want $285 out the door.
i'm very tempted but help convince me............

Grab it before someone else does if you want it.

Best I have seen locally for that is $325-$350...very close to the GP-100 N.I.B.

I got a..

I was able to snare a NIB service six 38 special last year for 300;) great gun you'll like it! I've thought about buying more of the six series because of how cheap they are! Go to gunbroker and look, they are priced right.

I bought a new Security Six wayyy back in 1971-72... My buddy took a fam trip to Miami and brought us both back one on the airplane in his carry-on.

The only thing I've ever done to it was have the trigger smoothed and lightened and it is sweet..

I think the 357mag round is about as good as it gets for home defense, and the Security-Six resides in the nightstand as we speak ready when needed.

I DO not like Rugers centerfire pistols, but I think the revolvers are fantastic..

Getcha one!

You WON'T be disappointed. The Ruger Security-Six is a quality firearm.

Best Wishes,

J. Pomeroy

fisi,

Stay away from this gun, as far away as you can get, a really terrible design and at that price you're getting ripped.

Uh, er, let me do you a favor. . . . tell me where it is so's I can get this awful gun off the market, it's for your own good :neener: :neener:

If you're looking for a Security Six you better grab it before someone else grabs it. The Security/Service/Speed Six guns were great guns when they were new and they make great used guns.

I wish Ruger would start makin' 'em again.

I second the motion for you to snatch that Ruger Security-Six-before it's too late! These are superb service revolvers and are worth every penney that you might have to pay! They are very well made(And tougher than all get out!)and will last you a very long time!

Although I eventually had acquired various revolvers from Colt and Smith & Wesson, I first fell in love with the Security-Six! These revolvers were of a very novel design whenever they first were introduced in 1971(With their simple(No tool)takedown-and, their unique, modular construction)! These guns have a long history of reliability in the field and, are proven performers! Ruger sold over one million of these fine revolvers from 1972 to 1985 when the Security-Six had been discontinued! You won't ever regret owning an Security-Six(Or, any "Six-Series" Ruger revolver-since these are mechanically the same-whether they are a Security-Six, Speed-Six, or an Service-Six)! My advice, is to go for it and never look back!

just bought one last week. paid 200 for it with some holster wear but i didnt get it for looks;) shot 300 .357's out of it the other day and love it. Easy to use/clean/carry/love.

They're right up there with potato chips, chocolate chip cookies, and pizza as the good things in life. But much better for your cholesterol.
